White Sage Bundle and Palo Santo Incense Sticks

Sage bundles are my most widely-used items from this shop. I use it to cleanse negative energy in the home, cleanse my crystals and tarot cards with it, too! The scent of it just uplifts my soul! 

Sage was used in ancient cleansing rituals by Native American and shamanic cultures to do exactly what I do... remove that negative energy! 

How to use: 

I place my sage bundle in an abalone shell (I have them in this store!). I set the bundle on fire by burning a candle and using the flame to ignite the end of the sage. You can use a match if you want. I blow very gently on the sage to extinguish the fire and to ignite the embers on the leaves. 

Once you have the sage smoking nicely, you can set your intentions by saying something like: “I cleanse this room of any negativity, impurities, or anything that does not suit or support the people that live here.”

I normally walk around the room to make sure I get all of the corners. This all works best when all windows and doors are open (be careful of your pets!) so that the smoke can absorb the negativity and take it out of the house through the window. 

After you have finished "cleaning" all rooms of the house, you can give yourself a sage bath. I used to use a feather to fan the smoke onto myself, but a hand will do to fan the flames towards yourself. 

To extinguish the sage, you can dip it in water to make sure it is out. 

Some people believe that you must bury or flush the sage when you are done. I honestly do not do that since I do not like to waste it!
